I just wanted to thank everyone for the cascade of help.
By freezing and tapping I got the bushings in for my A-arm!
I made a spacer out of some 1/4" wall pipe and used a threaded pipe bushing to push the bushing into.

it's not that hard really.
Now anyone wanna make bets on if I got the offset bushing in the right way?

Thanks everyone!

I'm almost certain I changed that two years ago and published a corrected

Gene, this is what I presented:
http://gmcws.org/Tech/Getting_Your_GMC_Under_Control.pdf
The arrow points away from the ball joint when the offset is installed in
the rear ear. My PP thumb drive with this presentation is packed for a
trip, otherwise I'd go check to make sure I changed it there, as well as
the GMCWS tech page. This is going to haunt me forever.

The arrow points away from the ball joint when the offset bushing is
mounted in the rearmost ear of the upper control arm.

Thanks Gene. Wish you could have seen how nice the "Zep" coach came out.
I think Les was so impressed, he was going to finish the other side when he
returned home.

Finally got all my bushings in. Only messed up one by getting it in crooked, luckily it was not one of the offset ones so it was easy to replace.

Just a big vice and some tapping and I now have fresh upper bushings.

Someday I'll have to R&R the lowers, but looking at them, I think thats a job for Steve, They're Huge!

The lower bushings are easier to replace than the upper ones. Only the
rubber part is replaced, leaving the metal outer shell intact. I use a long
1/4" drill bit in a reversing battery operated Drillmotor, drill as many
holes as I can manage through the rubber part. Take a propane torch and
heat the outside of the metal sleeve just until the rubber softens. Then
just push it out. Clean out the bore and using some of that super slick
silicone grease, just drive the new urethane bushing with a soft face dead
blow hammer. No press involved.. JWID..

I put urethane in my 69 Corvette back in '99, they are now shot and falling apart.
I will never use urethane in any vehicle ever again, what a waste.
Not like they actually worked better either.

I'm sure there are lots of people that love them, not I.

Kieth,
What brand were they?
We use energy Supension brand as I have been told they should hold up.
