Another, and much easier way to remove those bushings is to use a chisel
bit in your impact tool and carefully work your way around the bushing. It
will pop right out after you raise it up about 1/4".

Kerry,

Unfortunately the GMC upper control arms are not made the same way the Imperial arms are made. If you try and push the upper
bushings through the control arms you'll never get it installed all the way and you will deform the arm.

Below is a series of photos that show some home made tools.

Note the two "vertical" parts that the bushing gets pressed through, if you don't put a spacer between the vertical parts you WILL
deform the arm and you WILL have problems. Also note that the bushing goes completely through the inner vertical surface so you need
a tubular spacer to allow that to happen.
