I worked on one of those a few years back. As I remember it was a 6 volt positive ground system. Not much to it. The ignition switch turned the ignition system off and on. It was a points system with no ignition resistor. On that one it turned out to be an oil film on the contact surfaces of the points. Cleaned it up and it ran fine.
Some people have converted these to 12 volt negative ground. If that is what you have then there is an added resistor between the switch and the positive terminal of the coil.

Thanks. I missed that website. There is a lot of info available and each group has a little different take on what should be done. And it looks like all the methods work.
