I am here at the Vintage Camper gathering at PJ Hoffmaster SP near Muskegon MI and I am seeing and talking to people that have restored little - maybe even tiny - trailers.

Many have done much more work than can be justified. There is a Father/Daughter team here that have restored a Layton such that it looks like it is about a week old. All that they could actually salvage was the metal under frame, metal skin and PICTURES of the interior......

They cleaned and painted the underframe, remade ALL of the structural wood of the house frame that held the skin, got the skin repainted and hung it on the wood, then rebuilt the interior.

To me, this is kind of like saying that a GMC has good windshields, let's rebuild the rest of it.

This was not the only example of this level of work here, and...
Some of these people own five or six sub-twenty foot travel trailers. Of those that do, those are often a mix of manufacturer and model.

I rest my case......

Matt

>tiny

Dave Silva is into this. I've been collecting a few photos on pinterest with the idea of some sort of sister site for vintage RVs other than gmcs. There are a few tiny trailer pix there.

I have an old Corvette, spent a bunch of money on it and put in a big loud engine.
the wife thought I was nuts.
So I too her to the Car Craft summer nationals. There are absolutely crazy, full out race cars, way over the top.

She stopped calling me nuts Smile

Matt, you got any pictures?

Dan,

Mary took some, I was too busy looking and taking to people.
I'll try to find some place to post them.
