I have what appears to be an all too common problem. My cockpit plastics are shattering.

What I figured to do was to take them out and then fiberglass the insides with a layer or two of FG cloth and/or mat. After that I would be more comfortable adding padding and upholstery over them.

Anyway, they are not screwed to the plywood floor. I tried applying some pressure to lift them out of the hatch openings where they appear hooked in, but if I apply any more pressure, I am afraid I will end up with a jigsaw puzzle of plastic parts.

I did go to Frank Jenkin's site and it looks like he carries the dash pieces, but I didn't see the side pieces.

Any thoughts on a delicate removal of these plastic interior items?
