Just took of this rectangled plastic ventilation thing from the coach It has been leaking for years, just about ruening the cabinets. Now I want to mount a electric blower to vent the cooking area and was wondering. in sted of mounting a new watertight exhaust could I connect it to the plumping vent? it just next to it. Would that give any problems?

Is the original 12 V hood with fan and lights not there? JimK should still have the solenoid operated kitchen vent that has a spring to keep shut when off, 12V to open. I wouldn't mix sewer gas and cooking area. The original hood moves air pretty well. I used some foam pieces to get a good fit from fan to vent. There should be vent hoods around with remodeling projects taking them out.

You do not want the plumbing vent open to any where inside the coach.

You can do what I did and collect the 12V fans from some old computer power supplies and mount three of them in the vent opening. It is quieter and moves more air than the original and we got half of an over head cabinet back.

Matt - we are up to six coaches at the Miller's

"You do not want the plumbing vent open to any where inside the coach"

That sounds right
