I was going to take the grand kids to a campground just down the street from me and noticed their rules were no equipment over 10 years old. Has this been much of a problem for other GMC'ers? Working towards a year off and traveling when I get the old girl up to snuff. Did not count on this.
Thanks

It depends. I think that you won't have a problem in a campground.
My father in law invited us to stay in a seniors park in Mesa, AZ where folks "own" their single and double wide units and maybe the lots. There were plenty of vacant spaces, and the 10 year rule as well. One of the folks who live in the park complained after our first night and our GMC was tossed. It's been updated and has a fine paint job, so it wasn't an appearance issue. The next 3 nights were at Walmart.

Stay at Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds, State run campgrounds and city run campgrounds. They do not seem to be excited about age of the vehicle. I personally have never been challenged on the coaches age ( yet).

I was looking for places to park in the Denver area around Englewood. I
found a park with a 20-year restriction. They also had a restriction on
the size of dogs and that they had to be approved by the staff. It wasn't
an RV resort. I'm not into being so snooty so I just found another place
northwest of there that met our needs. What they are trying to rule out,
in general, is an old motorhome that has peeling paint, discolored or rust
steel wheels, and a air conditioner cover that looks like it had been in a
war zone back in '45.
Others have reported a similar problem and asked the personnel to look and
then decide. Steve's idea as to the last major updating is a great one.

Isn't it ironic, that what I consider one of the nicest rv parks, disney's fort wilderness, has nothing but complementhe of the the tze beast when I go through their 2 checkpoints. Once I'm settled in we actually have fellow campers go out of their way to bring friends by and you can see them point and hear them say "that's the one I've been talking about" and my gmc is far from perfect. Just my 2 bits.
