I finally got to talk to the new owner, and it's clear that there's no
reasoning or dealing with her, so I am getting the hell out of Dodge. I
disagree with her business practices, but she's apparently willing to cut
off her nose to spite her face. Those vehicle storage spaces are pure
profit, but if she wants to run off customers, hey, it's her business and
her property. I certainly ain't gonna stick around where I'm not welcome.

I spent all day today, last day of my vacation, running errands. Among them
was getting title bonds and registration for these two old coaches with
some very irregular paperwork. BLAMMO, the Money Gun fired for about $500,
but I'm more or less legal and am officially the owner of these things now.

The Palm beach has 4 out of 6 good tires and two out of 6 good rims. I need
two more tires and need to use the rims from the Royale, and she should
roll. Getting the Palm Beach rolling shouldn't be too expensive. However,
the Palm Beach needs to be lifted up on blocks so I can deal with the
wheels.

The Royale, however... I bought five more aluminum Eagle rims from Jim
Kanomata, and need rubber times six before she'll roll. I forgot to ask Jim
what the total was (gulp). It's north of $1200 bucks though! Yea verily,
the Money Gun smoketh!

Just got off the phone with my mobile mechanic, the guy that resurrected
the Barn Queen after her 20 year slumber. He's up for the challenge, and
I'll take care of him. Need new belts and hoses for two 403 Olds engines,
possibly the carbs cleaned up after sitting for so long, definitely the
tank of the Royale drained.

ob Pontiac content (since I crossposted this to my Pontiac mailing list): I
drover the Cheshire Cat to the Dothan GMC rally, and people thought she was
great. Still need to fix the headlight relay, and the headliner is starting
to droop. :(
