Hey;

This link wouldn't work for me. I think I found you at
http://stonemountainrvruidoso.com. Looks like a nice place. We should be
through your area in NM sometime this winter. Will try to stay for a night
or two. Will your GMC be there?

Best of luck on your new endeavor! We've always loved NM as my brother has lived there for the last 20 years, and it's a lovely state to visit.

Just believe the posted signs when they tell you last gas for xxx miles, they mean it!

Bob,

We'll definitely make a note of this. We went right through Ruidoso on our way to Shawnee last year, but we had a place to park lined up in Mescalero. My son-in-law's father was the missionary pastor at Mescalero Reformed Church, and we stayed in the church parking lot right next to their home. We got to have a nice visit with him (Bob, his wife, Linda, was away visiting her parents that week) also. They have since retired and are about to move to Wisconsin. Ruidoso is about 6 hours from Tucson and would be a nice place for us to stop on a trip to the Northeast. It is also a beautiful area and , at almost 7000 ft elevation, should be nice and cool in the summertime.

Bob,

I'll keep you in mind as I really would like to move to, and travel in, the southwest in the next few years.

Keep us informed how your business works out, I am thinking that someday I'd like to have a RV resort in the southwest. (When I grow up I want to run an RV resort! Twisted Evil )

Bob, how far up 37 from us380 is your resort?

We cross there several times a year going from TX to grandkids in AZ. Seems like a great spot to stop.

Yes, I hope to have my GMC at the resort in the next week or two.

Gary, I am glab you located the correct web site. Our IT person made a switch and failed to tell me.

Our resort is 10 miles south of the intersection of 380 and 37 West of Capitan (The home of the Smokey Bear National Monument).

That's great Bob, we're big fans of the drive along 380, especially Capitan, Lincoln and the roadside fruit stand in Hondo. Look forward to meeting you in July.

Is that a new name for your park? It doesn't show up in my '10 version of MS Streets & Trips.

Don

It was originally named Stone Mountain Lodge and the original owners wanted to keep that name for some future project.
