For those of you who wish to roll their own high output LED lights. Radio Shack has the Vellerman Kit , nr K8071RS is on clearance for about $5. This is a current limited LED Driver kit, instead of using a resistor to limit the current delivered to your LEDs. It can drive 4 x 1watt LEDs or 2 x 3 watt LEDs. Powerful stuff. I'm using this to finish my 3rd Brake Light. 3 watt LEDs should not be viewed directly.
Stock is very limited, generally what is in your store.
There are other interesting marked-down kits, but this is directly related for the GMC.

Any online info on this sale? I looked on the US Radio Shack site but didn't find it. Lots of velleman k8071 info elsewhere but prices are much higher.

Les, I cannot say about Canadian sources for this sale, but it is a clearance sale, subject to the local store stock. If you have a local Radio Shack, you might check, but different countries have different sales.
Radio Shack has different items on clearance almost very time I got to their store. Actually only reason that I go there. Many interests in electronics, and in MS, Radio Shack is it.

Les, If you want one of these kits, I'll go to local Radio Shack and purchase you one and mail it to you in Canada. Probably cost $6 for the kit and $5 or so for mailing. Local Radio Shack had two more on display. You do have to assemble them.
P.M. me if you desire this to happen. Ill also need a mailing address.
