I am buying new tires for the front wheels. PO was running Load range "E" 16" on Alcoa Rims. I was just told by a tire dealer that I need 12 ply, Load range "F" for an 11,460 gross weight vehicle. No other dealer has told me this and the one that did does not carry load range "F" tires.
My weigh station ticket shows 7740 lbs front and 3720 lbs rear.
I assume E range is OK due to the tandem rear axle (?) Or did I just get bad information. (the manual states LR "D")
