Anyone know if a Chrysler mini-van seat will fit on OEM pedistals on a 76 Eleganza? I contacted Rollx vans and they have the Chrysler seats with 2 arm rests in a light tan - leather or cloth - in stock.

I have OEM seats in my van in the driver's cabin. How hard is it to make these fit?

Stick,
I don't know about Chrysler minivan seats, but I put two GM minivan seat in mine. Mainly because that's what I had laying around, I took two 3" wide by 5/16" thick strips of steel across the front and back of the existing pedestal, and drilled some holes, as the seat adjuster brackets on the minivan seats were wider apart than the original GMC ones.

What is the price Stick? I could call them but don't want them to suddenly think they are worth more because they're getting all these calls. Shocked Laughing

Stick,

I am fairly sure very few non-GMC motorhome seats would "fit" -- as in an "easy bolt right up" fashion.

BUT most seats can be modified to fit and most likely the Chrysler van seats are not that much different than the Honda seats many of us used.

I would look at the pictures that have been posted on the photo site and see if you think it is something you would want to do.

Here is one:

Stick,

My understanding is that the Chrysler mini van seats are made by the same company that supplies them to Honda for their mini vans. The seats the PO installed in our coach are supposedly out of a Crarvan. They look identical to some of the Honda seats I have seen. As others have pointed out, they will not just bolt in and will need to be adapted to your seat mounts.

I used the centre row seats from a Pontiac Montana van. Any seat should be easilt adapted to the base. Flat bar as above or just get them and set them in place to see what you need.

rollx has tons of seats in stock.

a good place to look would be ebay for some pictures. they have a few posted.

I think we missed the good years on the seats. the new one's I think are not quite as ideal. but the price really is hard to beat though, and they do look nice.

Kerry, I have posted this twice before. Contact info for the Rollx seats is:

In the fall of 2011 I bought two of the Chrysler leather seats, they are firm and some have said that they are not as comfortable as the Honda. I find them comfortable for driving.

Stick, I used 1/4" square tubing (what the scrap yard had available) to mount my seats with.

Good morning. A bit sore from new knee surgery but getting ready for a
good summer with the coach. My new Glennbrook coach came with the
original passenger and drivers and pedestals. I bought two sets of
Honda seats from Rollx vans for both the drivers and passenger seats and
two for the eating area. I had to modify both pedestals for the drivers
and passenger seats. I removed about 7" in height from the lower
pedestal, the Honda seats have all the adjustments on the bottom so
they are much higher than the original seats I made a bracket that
bolted to the swivel portion and then mounted the Honda seats. Not
particularly difficult just a bit time consuming. If you would like i
have pictures of the changes and they look like they should work great.
Take your time and this should work out great.
I also bought pedestal from r.v. surplus for the eating area seats. Good
luck
