While listed as a 1975 GMC Eleganza*, it sure looks like a fairly early Avion. (TZE ending in 0249.) The wood looks lighter than most Avions... could this be an example of the "other" Avion model? It should be a side dry bath with rear twin beds.

Currently non-running with a $1000 bid... no reserve and in a Fallston, MD impound lot. (North of Baltimore).

I someone is close enough that transportation wouldn't kill them, it might be a deal. I wonder what is wrong with it?

*Aren't all GMC's motorhomes Eleganzas or Palm Beaches? Rolling Eyes

It says "Interior by Avion" in the stripe below the right side cockpit window.

Mike,

I agree it is an Avion.

It could be that a PO has removed the original trim and fancy pull knobs and re-veneered the face of the galley.

OR

It could be a Sunburst? http://www.bdub.net/publications/Avion/Avion.htm

I wonder why none of the overhead cabinets are photographed?

It would be nice if more pictures were provided to see the rest of the interior.

Regards,
Rob M.

"You can't look at it" and "$295 documentation fee" are both deal breakers as far as I am concerned.

Same paint and stripe as my Avion. Driver's seat has been changed. Passenger seat is Avion OEM. The interior photos look good. Not showing upper cabinets is questionable. P.O. may have started an interior up-date. 16.5 OEM wheels. No inspection should be a deal killer. Documentation fee is bummer- equals commercial seller with no knowledge of this vehicle or perhaps the GMC, just interested in the Benjamins.

Got an email from the seller that he would be in Maryland on Saturday if I want to view the coach.

If anyone is close enough thats wants to view the coach contact him. Just say that you understand that he will be in Maryland on saturday and that you would like to inspect the coach. Just use contact the sell and ask him the question.

Mike,

I reckon the new owner has already been lucky getting an AVION for $1000, but then I'm biased. ;-)

I thought about it but realized Helen would have removed a part of my anatomy I am very fond of if I bought it.

HOWEVER, had it been a 23 ft Avion the story would have been different. Other than the one you found for sale in South Carolina (?)
awhile back I've never seen one up for sale since I bought The Blue Streak back in 2008.

Regards,
Rob M.
