We are currently in Fredericksburg Texas in the beautiful Hill Country of Central Texas. After a visit to the Johnson Ranch, we drove over to Johnson City to meet Billie Young for lunch (worlds best chicken fried steak). We had a wonderful visit for over two hours, with a wonderful lady! I can see why she has been the GMCMI "Sunshine Lady" for years.

Billie told us she is known for her sunglasses and, WOW, WAS SHE RIGHT. We recognized her right away! Not only did she make us feel like old friends, she also insisted on picking up the tab, not to mention bringing us a gift bag with some homemade blackberry jam and some peanuts from Dothan (among other things).

Thank you Billie, for making us feel like old friends. We'll be back for another visit, for sure!

Carl,

Thanks for the post. There are so many great GMC people whom we look forward to meeting.
Billie sold me a radiator -- and the GMC express delivered it to my mini-storage spot.
Very happy to hear she is well.

That she is! We could tell, from the conversation, that she was a loving and devoted wife. Lanny was a lucky guy.

Hi, Dennis.

Glad you're enjoying the radiator. Yes, we have an awesome GMC Family that's always ready to help one another.

And yes, I'm doing fine. It's been 2 years & 5 months since my beloved Lanny went Home, & I still miss him terribly. There are still lots of GMC parts upstairs in the garage, & as soon as I can get one of the guys to tell me what they are & $$, I'll take photos & ask Billy M. to post them. Hope to see y'all next Spring in Montgomery, Tx. Stay healthy & travel safely.

Hi, Jim.

Thank you for the kind words. It was great being with y'all in Dothan. Thanks for the help & advice you & Jim B. gave me with the new fire extinguishers. Have one in the car as suggested. See y'all in Montgomery.
