Additional information on Dick Paterson's thrust bearing mod.

> to be absolutely correct
> the modification is only done to the rear 1/2 of the bearing insert (the 1/2 from the oil groove in the bearing shell towards the back of the motor)
> the upper and lower shells meet at the parting line (where the crush area Is) -this is where he relieves (removes) some material ---at that parting line (starting from the oil groove -extending back to the rear edge of the bearing shell ).
> On the other area -he extends the thumb nail cups on the face of the bearing all the way though to the outer perimiter .-on the back thrust side only ----hope this explains it further.
> He have been doing this since he started building olds motors in 1986 - with satisfactory results.
