Hi All,

My ignition switch won't start if the wheel is tilted down. Works great in the up position. I do understand that turning the key pushes the switch that is located in the middle of the column somewhere. I already have the NSS at the bottom jumpered.
I can live with it, but it would be nice to fix. Especially if someone else needs to start it when I'm not around.
The question is whether there is an adjustment that can be made without taking the whole column apart. Or is it just worn out. I don't see anything obvious, but it is hard to see everything on the top of the column.
Thanks all...

Sir: yes the ignition switch is adjustable. there are 2 screws holding it in place in slots in the switch, loosen and slide the switch lower. The pic shows an updated column with the dimmer switch on the stalk. The dimmer switch is mounted in the same holes as the ignition switch but yours will not have the extra switch. It is a bit tricky to get to but doable.

To adjust the NSS, it also has sloted holes. Turn the key on with the shift lever in Reverse and adjust the switch where the backup lights are on and tighten. Check to see if start works in Park and Neutral only.

PS: turning the key pulls the switch.

Thank you sir:

That was easy - sort of...

There is no way to actually see what your doing, unless your either 90 pounds or some kind of circus contortionist.

Fortunately, I have eyes in the ends of my fingers...works like new now!

Thanks again!
