I picked up a couple of floor mounted OEM seat belt sets for the cockpit of my '76 Eleganza. I did not obtain the bolts for the seat belts. Anyone have a bolt recommendation so I can install the seat belts? Does Jim K or any of our other vendors have the appropriate bolts in their inventory?
Appreciate any thoughts / comments on available parts.

I believe there is a federal spec for seat belt hardware. I don't know if the spec was in place for 1973-1978. If the bolts go into "weld nuts" you will have to use bolts that fit the nuts.
I would use at LEAST grade 5 bolts. Use grade 8 if you can find them. (probably SAE as I don't think there was metric stuff on GMC MHs)If the GMCMH does not use weld nuts use the largest SAE or metric bolts (10.9) that will fit through the hardware on the belts.
Note, there has been LOTS of discussion about why NOT to add shoulder harnesses to a stock GMC MH .

The mounting holes and nuts are in the aluminum supports under the wooden drivers floorboards. You should only need the bolts, and I would also agree that using grade 5 or grade 8 bolts would not be a bad idea. You should be able to obtain them at your local hardware store, and they are standard sized, not metric.

I would add to that use a bolt with some unthreaded shaft so you can get the bolt tight in the threads ( wont jiggle out over time) but not tight on the belt ends ( allow the seat belts to swivel and self orient)

I just installed mine, the retractor uses a 1/2 -13. 3" long, the female end uses the same size but is a shouldered bolt that allows some movement.
