I found a company in Ohio that rebuilds fuel sending units. Since I had six original ones I sent them for rebuild. Should have them back within 7-10 days.
Send me an email(gemrecs@yahoo.com) if interested. Price will be comparable to those now on the market, but these will have the original contact points on top so you will not need to cut the wires and fit other electrical contacts. They will also be guaranteed.......Michael GEMRECS
BTW, I have a new toy, an M151A2 Mutt(jeep) from the Vietnam War era-my time in service, though I did not go to Vietnam, thank God. I will restore it for military vehicle club participation and local parades. Anybody else have one or other MVs?

Be glad you got the A2. The original would go on its head (ask me how I know this). We made them even tippier by installing about 600 pounds of radios above the backseat for FACs to use. At the time, it required a seperate line on your DoD license, and you hadda sit though a film the Army made on ho to tip it over. I'nm told the A1 and A2 were somewhat safer. We put cables under the rear axles on ours to limit travel of the back axles. Me for a CJ-5 with a 292 in it.

When I was in the National Guard, a unit attached to us had M38 A1 Jeeps
with 106 mm recoilless rifles mounted on them. They used to practice tip
over drills with them. They had one with a long slender pole lashed to the
cowl that stuck out each side 10 or 12 feet on each side. They would drive
them in circles until the jeep would be on two wheels and balance on the
end of the poles. I tried driving one a few times. Not as easy as it
sounds, but I managed to keep it on two wheels until I got too dizzy. Fun
stuff when you are an 18 year old.

My son has both an M151-A1 (not currently drivable) and an M151-A2 (licensed, insured and driven regularly):
