Ok,
looking for ways to replace the carpet. I have looked at the photo site.
questions are, staple it? glue it? use pad? if you do use pad do you glue it. what kinds of glue.
I do not think it is going to work to stretch it.
my current carpet was glued lightly to the plywood with no pad. pulled up pretty easily, but held in place just fine over the years. was not original.
I think it would be very easy just not to use pad and glue it to the plywood again. But I know how much nicer it would be to have pad installed.
I bought regular carpet, a pattern style. I did not like the berbers, or the commercial carpets. and did not really want much of a shag.
I would like to know what people have done and worked. and what they have done and it didn't work.
