I have a GMC friend who I have been encouraging to subscribe to this list but he keeps getting replies that his email address is
banned. He is a relatively new owner and has never had a subscription. Appreciate input on what the problem might be and some guidance on helping him out.

Simplest is a (free) Yahoo or Gmail account - like this one. Added benefit - all the mail will be his GMC stuff.

Dick,
I had totally forgotten about the AOL issue with the email site as Billy has pointed out. There is no way to get around and still use AOL to send messages to the GMCNet. As Johnny has said get a Yahoo or Gmail account. Either one is FREE and very simple to set up. I used Gmail myself when I am on the road to send messages so that I don't have to change my provider settings for sending mail. I also have hotmail, yahoo and several Mac email addresses. You can point each of the accounts to forward to a home account if that account will accept them. AOL might think that some are spam still.
