Hi - we will be meeting friends in Tucson the first week of May. I would like to get your input regards RV parks to stay at.

Lazy days (formerly Beaudry's) is nice, as Emery and Armand stated. Catalina State Park is also nice and is in a completely different part of town. I'm also not sure of the hookups, but I'm sure they have water and electric sites and a dump station. There is a nice county park just west of town called Gilbert Ray Campground. It is near Old Tucson and the Desert Museum. I have friends who stay there often. Another one is Rincon Country West. Look them up on the internet. There are others either on the outskirts of town or right in town, but most are near the interstate (outskirts) or really old (in town). There is also Voyager, on the far Southeast side, near I-10. It will probably be the most expensive.

There is also a nice Elks campground in town. You have to be a member though.

When we winter in Tucson we stay Rincon Country West RV Resort. Will be back in January 2014. 5 star Diamond park with all the good stuff.

Just off I-19 on Mission. Exit right on Ajo Way to Mission or Valencia to Mission. Park is close to everything in Tucson.

We were just there last weekend and it was very nice, as it was some years back when we first stayed there. It's now called Lazydays and belongs to the outfit from Florida. It's big and wasn't more than 25% full, won't have a problem getting a spot.

We liked Desert Trails near the southwestern edge of town, off Hwy 19
It felt a bit more rustic with bigger spaces.
Does not have the parking lot feel some of the others have.
