I have a 1976 Royale RB that has a control panel over the ref. for water pump, Onan start and system status. This coach has been idle for over 10 years and some four legged friends have totally striped the area of wire. I mean clean. no evidence. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or a used panel wired with pig tails?

Jim,
Some of the diagrams here show several of the colors for the monitor panel.
I never found all of them anywhere.

If you examine the panel, with those clues, you'll see that it's really not
very complicated.
The most complex part is the Tank Level sensors and each of those is served
by a multi-conductor cable, some of which is surely left somewhere. Each
of the wires in those cables connects to one of the well-nuts in the tanks
and to the base of a transistor driver for the Level Indicator bulbs (don't
count on those working, even if wired correctly). It would probably be
more satisfactory in the long run to just install a new tank level system.
The Voltmeter/LPG meter is easy: The switches just connect a single wire
to the battery or the LPG sensor.
The Water Pump wiring is trivial -- why not just go ahead and follow one of
the recent suggestions for bath and kitchen controls?
The Gen switch wire colors can be gotten from the Onan wiring diagram,
including the hour meter.
HTH,
Ken H.

Jim,
I should have been more specific about where to look on the Birchaven
diagrams: There are 2 floor plan and one profile drawing labelled "Monitor
Panel" which have some of the color codes listed.

Jim, Jon, Ken, & Joe,
Thanks for writing in on this subject and for the wiring diagrams.
I have the same model. Coachmen / rear bath
My tank lights are not working and I have put this project on the back burner.
The post has inspired me a bit, and I hope to get to fixing my lack of tank level information soon.
Ken H. gave me alot of info and help on this subject at Dothan, when he looked over my coach during the mentor program (thanks Ken !)
I still got some figuring out to do !
Thanks again to all, for your help.

Jim,
I looked at the black tank sensor wires a couple of hours ago and meant to
remember the order they're connected -- but I can no longer say for sure.
:-(
I remember Black, Yellow, Blue, Green, and Orange, from bottom
(Ground/Common) to top in 1/4-tank steps. If I did confuse the order, it
will be trivially simple to straighten out when you test connect them.
