My son wants a buddy seat. He saw one at Chuck Boyd's house and has to have one. Momma does not want one but he and his friend ride in the coach more. If anyone has one that they want to give away I will be at Bean Station. Another member has one but he is in Texas. I may have something you don't need in return. Thanks!

I have always thought that a "short" bench from the middle row of a mini van would make a good buddy seat. You might even find one with armrests on both sides.

Put it on a swivel base so it can be rotated out of the way for hatch access. (In a 26 foot the early wooden dinette might get in the way.... )

When parked a buddy seat could turn the cockpit area into a "bedroom" for a "small person."

Good idea. My Dad has one in the barn. How about a flexsteel dinette end?

I think it would be slightly narrower than a "true buddy" seat, but you could easily be able to check if it is wide enough. If you can figure out how to mount it, it would fold flat and be a square bed about 1/2 the length of a twin bed.

Somebody here did just that. Honda center I think.

Looks like they provided mounting for the small narrow "seat" that fits between the bucket type seats when installed in the van.

It works, it is nice, but isn't quite what I mean. (and is a LOT more work...) I looked for pictures of the center row seat I am thinking about but only see bucket style seats. Seams I am getting old and didn't know no one makes the "two person" beach seat like I had in my mid 90's Caravan. You should be able to find a seat in the men's mall (junk yard) but only finding ones that need recovered kind of defeats the propose.
