I can think of few things worse you could do to your engine than install
those. Apparently you never saw:

I was lucky: I caught it shortly before the plugs wore into the water
jacket. I've heard of several, and personally know one, who were not so
lucky: Destroyed heads -- and hydraulically locked engines with all that
entails, like bent rods.

It's a mystery to me why they keep promoting those things. I haven't
checked lately, but at one time, Edelbrock REQUIRED their use for warranty
on their manifold!
