I have been chasing the gremlin of sputtering at around 35mph. After I got past 35 it was fine. Here is the background of everything. I dropped both tanks (cleaned and coated. New senders, metal lines, new selector, new electric pump, new filter before pump, and rebuilt carb from Jim K. It was a ton better but still stumbled at 35. I could not find any leaks anywhere but I could drive it. I took the family from Houston to Sea World and back no major issues but still stumbled at 35 five or six times. Today I removed the manual pump, installed the block off plate. Now with that done it starts runs for a minute or two then just dies. If I start it and rev up the engine it sounds great and runs but then just cuts off. Any suggestions as I hate to put the manual pump back on as would like to finally fix the issue?? Trying to make it to Dallas this weekend with the family.
