Anyone have a few of the steel stock alcoa lug nuts lying around? I have the big ole chrome ones on my wheels. They are gradually stripping. Seems every time I get new tires they mess up one, threads. I have one stock one left for the next tire change. I can buy new ones but they are almost 5 bux each. I don't mind giving a buck or two each for a few good used ones, as spares. I am thinking a half dozen. No longer do I worry about them matching, I put them on the driver's side which I don't see often. Kinda like nicks in my paint. 2006 paint job. You can look at it and know we use our GMC. Some day I will find a good source for the lug nuts I like and start buying them a few at a time til I have 48 that match. The spare, I have a cover over the stock nuts.

Dan, I have none to spare. However, at Camping World and other truck places, you can get stainless steel Lug Nut Covers (in 1 1/16" size) for abut $13 and cover up the old ugly steel lug nuts.

Dan,

A '72 ford 1-ton dually used the exact same lug nuts. Might have to go deep
into the boonies to find them in a yard. Oh, wait! You're in the state of
Misery. LOL

Now Gary, here I thought sure you had a few. Tom, I could get new ones or stainless/plastic covers from Jim. I don't want those. I need just a few stock Alcoa nuts to hold me til I find the chrome ones I want. I buy 2 tires every 2 years. The most rearward tires are due. I know they will strip at least one or two of my chrome nuts. I need to be prepared.
