I installed KenH's great electric windshield wiper conversion. I'd like to remove the old linear wiper control and replace it with a linear potentiometer for speed control in the original control location.

Rather than trying re-invent the wheel, has anyone done this and if so how? Also if anyone has tried it and run into problems I'd like to hear about that also.

I did find T Lins photos of a switch installation on the GMC photo site.
