Maybe I haven't been drawing enough current to notice a hot cord or plug
in my coiled up 30 amp cord. (Water heater, space heater and fridge on
electric) I only uncoil enough to reach the outlet. Both cord and plug
are about compartment ambient temp. Plug is a bit warmer than the cord,
but that is true even when the cord is fully extended to reach the
outlet. I did have the female end of a "lighted" Harbor Freight 10 ga
extension cord melt into a charred puddle on the ground, along with the
adaptor that was plugged into it, but no problem with the coach cord,
fortunately.
