Can anyone tell me how the upper cabinets are fastened to the coach. I see
the screws at the outside upper area but was wondering if they attach the
same as the GMC coaches with the bolts against the wall. Did Coachman do it
the same way?

Mine had screws to the roof reinforcement stringers cleverly hidden behind a thin interior liner which also concealed the wiring junctions for lights/ fans/ etc. Where the over head cabinets met room partitions there were screws through the side of the over heads to the vertical walls of the partitions. Apparently some of my coach had been altered by at least one po so your findings may differ. Buy a few square drive driver bits for your 1/4" rechargeable impact or drill of your choice. The uppers are a bit heavy and at an awkward position to hold up while pulling screws so make sure the hidden 12 volt wiring is disconnected and pulled clear prior to removing the gravity fighting screws. And when you think you have got them all, look for one or two more ;)

A great assist tool is available from Harbor Freight. They sell it as a pick-up bed separator, to hold boxes in position when the bed is not full. Turn it on edge, and it will hold up your cabinets very nicely. Demo this afternoon at International.
