Sunday morning I was damp or maybe moist, but not really wet. I broke
camp because I knew that I had to make it back to Jackson before dark
since I was really too busy going to seminars and meeting people and
seeing things to spend time messing with my car's headlights. I did
get lots of good advice about what the likely problem is. I have no
doubt that with the talent pool that was making himself available to
me, that we would eventually have found the problem and fixed it. :-)
However I wanted to be sure that I made it back before dark on Sunday.
I took advantage of the omelette breakfast that was put together.
Teresa from Midwest Classics Cook my omelette for me, and it was good
because it was made with love. Just like mom used to make. :-)
I said some quick goodbyes, told Kimberly Wweeks that I've had a great
and wonderful time, and headed home to Jackson. My car ran fine other
than the time I put Ethanol gasoline into it: at idle it needed
throttle or it risked dying. Once I filled up with real gasoline
though the problem went away.
I made it home by 5 o'clock in the afternoon. 893 miles although not
necessarily trouble-free. :) 62 gallons of gas. 14 miles per gallon!
I had a very good time and would definitely do it all over again. The
convention was well-run, I learned a lot, and I met a lot of really
nice people.

Thanks for the great report Robin.
The conventions and the folks are great aren't they. Glad your car made it back without hiccup.

Methinks Robin was citing round-trip mileage at 893!
Our one-way mileage from Oklahoma City was just a bit over 900 miles.

Nice report, Robin. Glad you had such a good time. Those GMCMIers have a way of making a person feel right at home, don't they? Get one of those coaches going so you don't have to sleep in a tent any more. That's why I got one.

Robin,
It was great to see you in person. I am very glad that you enjoyed your rally experience and had a chance know us. GMCMI is a great group of people. We have a wealth of knowledge to share and if you go hungry it is your own fault.

Robin, great trip report! I really enjoyed meeting you in person.
You would not have enjoyed being in a tent last night so going home yesterday was probably a good decision. The wind was fierce and my thermometer showed 39 this morning.
