Netters
The temps today were Very high and I had my roof air on, powered by my
Onan.....
I shut it off and about a half hour later tried to restart.
It restarted but ran up and down . It would race up and fall back, race up
and fall back...hunting I think some guys call it.
If I hold the choke tight off, it will smoth out, but by the time I slide
it back in it's off hunting again!
Any quick and easy suggestions on getting it to even out a bit?
Thank you
Mike on the 10 East

Mike,
Try disconnecting the wire to the choke and if that doesn't work wire the damn thing open! The choke in Double Trouble has been
disconnected for several years and it starts just fine.

Rob M.

Sounds like you answered your own question. Choke should be wide open once warm. If it is still hunting you can move the governor spring one hole toward less sensitive. Then you need to reset speed to get 123-125v at no load.

THE california weather is coming your way it looks like great weather for you'all.
You should have about 5 or 6 days of great weather;
that is what we have had here and it should start passing over you tomorrow or so.
god bless you all. with warm sun shine and blossoms,
best regards

Mike,
When Helen and I left Emery and Michelle's home last summer he had helped me whip the Onan into shape, you'll be in good hands!

Rob M.

John Richardson and I drove my GMC, last Winter to reposition it 994 miles in 2 days. :eaving late the first day, we stopped in South Carolina, then the second day drove 750 miles non-stop (except for gas) to our final destination.
GMC does long distances just fine. John did all the driving.

Mike, Emery is the one who "fixed" our's when we came up out of the Las Crucez low area into the higher elevation. The thing was doing just what you describe. Emery told me the same thing he told you. Fixed it.
Travel safe across Texas. Keep an eye out for Kanomata. He is out there somewhere. Trying to get an update on him today.
