My Daughter-in-law presented us with our third Grandchild today and in the labor and delivery room, there was this really neat couch/bed. My son, who is 6-8 says it's really comfortable and he slept on it all night.

What is neat is the way it works. It looks like a perfectly normal couch...comfortable, leather, etc. However, you reach down in the front and pull up (its an easy lift) and the couch rolls 180 degrees, folds, and a bunk size queen length bed is on top and all the cushions and back for the couch are underneath.

This photo shows the mechanism: http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/misc/p48071-a-neat-couch-bed-from.html

Obviously, I was thinking about how this could work on our coaches. Obviously, you would loose some precious storage under the bed but it shows promise as an idea. I like that you wouldn't have to remove the bedding and store it...or put the cushions somewhere when you slept. I could not find a name or manufacturer but I'm going to look around.

Oh yeah. It's a wall-a-way configuration. Nothing would have to move to do the conversion.
