Where can I find a replacement 12v small bathroom vent fan? I believe there
may be clearance issues with the roof rack if I enlarge the hole and add the
standard 14" one.
The top cap has deteriorated and will leak. Any suggestions on how to
proceed would be greatly appreciated..

Trash the small fan idea, go with a 14" fan, it is the difference
between night and day. Really brightens up the bath.

Second to last pic show fan. Should hit the OEM mount rack. One of
the best modification for you bath.

I just bought a Fan-Tastic vent for the front hole, I'll buy your used one,
I most likely wont run it much just for venting purposes.
Thank you to everone who replied to this. LarC - N/E Illinois Wrote If you
are talking about the OEM fan, I think I still have it, along with the piece
of roof aluminum I cutout.
It worked when I replaced it with the Fantastic fan.
Now I have some options, thank all of you again
LarC - N/E Illinois my email is ken@aaaaimage.com let me know if you want
to get rid of the old one.

however, have to be rather cautious because there was a wiring loom that

The small round ones are still available, However I installed the large vent
so we can have more light and circulation.
I first determind how far to the side I could mount it useing the origional
circular hole as a guide. I then went up onthe roof to see how much I would
need to move the cargo pod. I was able to get the clearance by moving the
pod few inches. Now the bathroom is not dark.

You can get the small ones at Gateway. Motor is tiny on the new one so it is actually less restrictive to the air flow. Rest is the same.

Ken
Went out to look at my fan. A little hard to see in the dark but it was
odviously a 5 or 6 inch muffin fan. I rounded off the corners and it went
in nicely from the bottom but with no room to spare. Once you pull the old
motor out you will see the size you need if you decice to go that route. I
notice that that size is not in the current Princess Auto catalogue but I
know they have a raft of them in their surplus aisles. I'm sure you could
find an equivalent item at Harbour Freight of similar store.
Princess Auto is probably our Harbour Freight and probably has a lot of the
same stuff at the same range of qualities. They've been around forever (I
remember buying parts for my 33 Chev there years ago) After getting tired of
getting covered with grease every time I picked up my grease gun I broke
down a bought an air fed grease gun there today (Under 20 bucks).

Ken, I wont try to talk you out of the OEM fan, but the light you get from a Fantastic fan is fabulous in the bathroom. Otherwise that area is really dark and the OEM fan does not give any light.
That said, I dont want anything for the OEM fan, it came off of my 74 GlacierX, was working when removed, as is no guarantee.....yours for the shipping.

Thank you LarC,
My Birchaven is a rear bath model so light is not an issue, I have 80% of
the rear window back there it already looks like Las Vegas back there!
That said I would definitely do the 14" vent if it was of a different
design..

I went with the muffin fan solution also. Did the same thing over the stove for the cooking fan. The muffins I used have a cool blue light. But my future solution for the bathroom is a fantastic fan. Huge difference in ambient light plus it pulls odors out instantaniously.
