Hi. 77 403. 54,000 mi
Since day one (3 years ago) I've had this leak at the speedo gear where the speedo cable connects. I have replaced the o ring as well as the internal seal which I got from Jim K. Leaks so bad that the heat sock covering the cable to protect from header heat was soaked with trans fluid. Great fire starter!
Think maybe the speedo gear itself is worn down? Seems to be a lot of play there. Where could I get a new speedo gear? Thanks.

Hey R.D. I got a new speedo driven gear from More Buick-Chevrolet in Osborne Kansas. $7, 5 shipping GM part # 403417. It is obsolete so some dealers won't go to the trouble of finding one for you. But there are other venders, bet Jim K, or Manny can get you one.

Why not add your name, location, year and model of your coach to a signature - sometimes helps answer questions.
