steering colunm splint [message #200567]

Anyone ever have a problem with tilt mechanism on steering colunm not staying in place ? I know from experience that removing and disassembling a column is a real chore. made a quick fix for mine by forming a "splint" out of aluminum bar 1/4" x 3/4" and bending it to bring the col. down to its lowest point.
This by the way is half a notch lower then it would go before.
A couple of hose clamps and installation is about 2 min.
Could market this for about $15 bucks plus shipping.

Because we would have to be logged in as you to get to your photo from the URL you provided. We would need a URL that is not your personal account login.
