With a steady foot on gas pedal, will a vacuum gauge drop, or otherwise show when transmission shifts?

I you don't move your foot at all, vac would increase with RPM and then drop when the trans shifted and start the climb process again. Same throttle position with more RPM equates to more pumping action and more vac.
