Here ya go, Ray.
http://www.leftlanedrivers.org/

I'm having JimB install paint-peeling headlights in my coaches. I've heard that BMW has some new laser headlights. Sounds promising. Probably cheaper & higher ground clearance than an undercarriage rocket launcher, too.

Trouble is, the older I get, the more often I find myself in the left lane day-dreaming.

We have a saying here in Florida because of snow birds....
"When I get old I'm going up north and drive slow in the left lane".

P.S.: It is illegal to drive slower than traffic in the left lane (and it's posted)in most states here in the south.

Quebec will ticket slow left lane drivers. Driving schools in Ont. are teaching drivers to stay in the center lane on 3 lane highways. They claim lane 1 is merging, lane 2 is driving & 3 is passing. I hate the center lane as you haven't any escape in an emergency with cars on both sides of you.

Hmmmm. I have always thought that lane numbers
started at #1 on the far left lane (USA/Canada).

This has been the law and practice in California for many years. Ohio will bust a trucker for doing the speed limit in the left lane if holding up traffic.

Certification validating my statement rendered?, ....1.5 million miles in the seat of an eighteen wheeler without a single chargeable ticket or accident covering all 48 lower states in all weather. While serving my apprenticeship, I did get one 'warning ticket' for driving my eighteen wheeler on the sidewalk in Connecticut. They seem to lack a sense of humor. :-)

Originally there was one lane. #1.
Then the hiway was widened for passing. #2.

The California AG did issue a letter saying at if you were doing the speed
limit in the left lane you were ok, regardless of how fast traffic wanted
to go.

Thats why I opted for grille mounted miniguns. The rockets make a mess of the paint on the nose no matter where they are launched from...

76 Birchaven - "Wicked Mistress" - New engine, trans, alum radiator, brakes, Sully airbags, fuel lines, seats, adult beverage center... those Coachmen guys were really thinking about us second hand owners by including that beverage center... Columbia, SC.
