Will anybody leaving from west of Oklahoma City
be coming through on I-40 with whom we could
tag along?

We'd sort of like to have the "safety in numbers"
idea on this first long haul trip.

We'd probably like to limit travel to around 250
miles per day (no dash A/C or cruise control).

Mac, I hope someone will respond. I was told no plans for the Lunch Bunch to go to Dothan. My plans change. Right now I am hoping to pull out of Dexter Thrus about 1 pm. We will drive as far as we can Thurs night. That may be all the way or we may stop at a Walmart in the Montgomery area, or south of there. Stayed at a Lowes about an hour north of Dothan last time. Had a rear wheel bearing go out. I just drive as far as I feel like it. We rarely make plans for our stopping. When we are tired we stop.
Our route will be down through Tupelo on 45. Probably 78 to B'ham. But, I might take a different route from Tupelo, just depends.
