I was recently bragging on how sweet my tranny was and I guess I cursed it or something.

Today, while doing my test drive to see if the engine came to temp, I noticed the tranny was shifting harder than it has been and winding longer before it shifts. The longer I drove the worse it got and by the time I got home, it wants to stay in first a good bit past the normal shift point. Also if I let off it would normally shift into second but it is staying in first. If I get going, it eventually shifts into second and then third.

I checked the fluid and it was a pint low but acts the same after adding the fluid.

Is this the dreaded governor gear or something else?

I'm falling into the two steps forward, three steps back dance.
