I want to thank all of you for the many kind words and thoughts that I received from you about the death of my mother last month.

She had just turned 90 last October and I knew her time was coming but it is still so very very hard to lose a parent.

I have to tell a story about my Grandchildren here in Colorado. Three of them had met their Great Grandmother. The three year old had never met her but had talked to her on the phone. She was looking forward to perhaps seeing her this next summer. When the children were told of her death the three older ones cried. The six year old then asked if she was in heaven. My daughter said "yes". The little three three old then spoke up "Oh, then she can see me!" She looked up and waved and said "Hi Grandma!"

Yep, nothing like little children to comfort us Emery. Teri and I have 16 grandchildren. Now you know why I smile most of the time.
We are sorry for your loss. It is hard to take sometimes. At 58 years of age, I am the oldest living one in our immediate family. Been attending funerals since I was 10 years old. Some are a lot harder than others, like when our moms leave us.
Hug each other for Teri and me.
