On the way back from Lazydays, our power steering pump started whining. When I checked into it, the fluid was about gone so I added some and started the coach. Power steering fluid went EVERYFREAKING WHERE!

I assumed the pump was bad and ordered a new one and, with considerable difficulty, put it in. What a pain in the butt.

Also replaced the water pump and starter. Well today, I put fluid in the pump and started the coach. To my great surprise, fluid went EVERYFREAKING WHERE! What the *&^%(()?

After about 30 minutes of troubleshooting which involved hooking up a remote starter switch so I could turn the motor while under the coach (securely on jack stands). To my surprise, it was a hole in the hard return line. Once I got it out, I noticed a good bit of corrosion at near the clamps that fasten it to the radiator mount.

Easy fix but it would have been a real hassle to fix on the road.

Now I also have a sense of urgency to check for corrosion on my brake lines. A failure there would be considerably more than a 'real hassle'.

The moral of this story is check your hardlines.
