I have not posted for a long time but follow the group’s trials and tribulations regularly.

About a year ago I listed my 1978 Royale for sale on one of the websites, but soon after I had some health problems and did not concentrate on the sale. Now my health is better but sadly the GMC has taken a turn for the worse.

The motorhome has a fuel injected (original 1976 style multiport) 500 ci Cadillac motor. Due to old gas, I had to replace both the low pressure and high pressure fuel pumps and installed new injectors to get it started. After running for about 5 minutes it started to run rough and started smoking out of the exhaust. To make a long story not so long, it looks like the engine is about to bite the dust. Transmission still seems to work properly.

I am paying a sizeable amount for storage each month so want to sell it for the best reasonable offer ASAP. I assume it is not able to be driven for any distance in its present condition.

The GMC has a Generac generator with 55 hours on it, which cost more than I will get for the motorhome. A lot of work has been done to the interior such as a full size shower. All the electrical upgrades were done with marine grade components.

The unit still needs a lot of work to make it useable, but is a solid coach and should be put back on the road or could be used for spare parts.

I live in the San Diego, CA area and will send a power point presentation (prepared about one year ago) to anyone interested. Email rtroberts@cox.net
