I would appreciate it if someone could help me identify the purpose of this electrical module hanging from the left side of my dash.

http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/electrical/p47337-module-on-left-side-of-dash-on-1977-royale.html

I am just learning how to post so please bear with me if this does not work the first time. Thanks

Hi Joe,

Emery posted this back in 2011....

quote...
Your 1977 has three small modules (circuit boards) behind the dash.
There is a low coolant module. It should have 4 wires. Light Blue, Yellow, Brown with dbl white stripe, black.

There is an Electro Level time delay relay that lights a panel light reminding you to put the switch into travel.
It has three wires. Brown with dbl white stripe, yellow and brown.

There is a Low Fuel module that tells you when you are getting low.
It has 4 wires. White, Black, Pink with dbl black stripe and Light Green.

Check the wires on the module that you are questioning and let us know.

So I would say low coolant sensor.
