Recently got a new Fantastic Fan from Jim K to go in the bathroom. Unfortunately, there were no instructions so I don't know what they recommend for sealant.
Is silicone what everyone uses? RVGoop?

Use butyl tape. It comes in 3/8, 1/2 and 5/8 in. widths and usually 1/16, 1/8 and 3/16 thickness. The 1/2 wide x 1/8 thick works well for vents. Buy it at glass shops or RV shops and possibly at hardware stores. It is usually black but I have seen it in white. When you screw down the vent it squishes out a little at the edge and you can trim that flush to the edge of the vent.

Kerry,
We have the butyl tape in 25 foot rolls. I can bring a roll at Dothan if you like. I usually have a few in the coach at a rally.

You'll love the difference with the Fantastic Fan in the bathroom! It completely changed the look inside there to a much more inviting place. Also, running that one in addition to the others really helps change out the air in the coach, just have to keep the bathroom door propped open a bit.
I found it easiest to measure and cut the opening in the bath module first so you can avoid cutting into/through any ribs in the body structure. Once you have the inner trim piece hole cut in the ceiling, you can use a small drill bit to mark the aluminum skin in the roof to make your cuts through the aluminum skin.
I also used the butyl tape from my local auto parts store to mount and seal the fan to the roof.
