There a nice looking 1978 Royale Center Kitchen for sale in Califruit (the land of nuts and fruits and Finenskiens). I offered then $9,000.00 and they got a little mad. They need to move to Texas and I will give they a good plate of BBQ and teach they how to shoot and so they can chill. The tires are over 7 years old and the fridge is broken. Robert.

1978 GMC Royale Vehicle ID Number…TZE68V101266
403 cu.in. V8 OEM Oldsmobile Engine. 45,575 original miles. Purchased in July 1995, with 27K miles.

Full set of factory manuals, center kitchen, interior still original design with custom window curtains. 50 x 86 inch bed in the rear compartment with matching bedspread, with two sets of sheets stored in a separate compartment under the bed.
Coach uses regular unleaded fuel. Engine oil: Mobile 1 15w-50. Onan oil: Pennzoil HD 30. Automatic Transmission fluid: Cheveron Synthetic /Dexron I.
Second set of seven Michelin Radial tires: X 8.75R 16.5 XPPR. DOT rating = FWXK BB2X (4601), (46th month, 06 year) purchased at 44,575 miles. Current mileage is 45,575. Onan generator hours is 253.2. Spare tire not ever used.
Two 6 volt Golf Cart coach batteries, wired in series, and one 12 volt Costco engine battery, all three newly installed in mid June 2011. Transmission serviced 4/2011. Fluid changed, all internal parts inspected and replaced if needed. Added Ragusa heat-radiating aluminum pan and torqued all bolts. Installed overflow transmission drain line, to empty into container mounted to steel cross member behind left wheel well.
New and original GMC Maintenance Owner's Service Log, and Onan Generator Maintenance Schedule log go with the coach. In addition, the Service Log and Onan Maintenance Schedule includes recommended fluids and lubricants for all above listed systems, plus instructions for each of the maintenance requirements.
Original suspension airbags replaced several times, with same OEM type. Coach is parked on cement driveway supported by 4x4 wood-block supports with air bags deflated. Coach level maintained within one degree, on level indicator, placed inside freezer compartment.
I also have many specialized parts, tools and equipment collected over past 18 years of ownership. These are many items necessary for common replacement of periodic maintenance chores, and possible emergency repair situations.
Coach has deen regularly maintained and has never failed California smog inspection since ownership. Engine,Transmission , and Onan Generator, have had no need for removal. They have all been regularly serviced to recommend milage and hourly time limits. The heater works as expected, having been repaired by qualified RV mechanics. The original Dometic refrigerator has always worked well since owning, except since past year. Propane stove never a problem.
Built in microwave unit, two Air Conditioners, Hot water heater, 6000 watt Onan Generator with MagneTec Converter / Charger. Doug Thorley headers, Zip Dee Awnings on both sides, GMC Steering Control, Front Suspension Stabilizer Bar, and Caspro Shock Absorbers. Some of the many suppliers who also furnished upgrades: Sure-View, Golby, Cinnabar, Ocean Atlantic, Marshall, San Diego Speedo Tach, Gateway, Dasco, Shurflo Potable Water Pump, DymoMax, and three original maroon color and size Royle Logos. (Just in case I had the coach painted ).
Unfortunately I am forced to place an ad for the sale of our 1978 GMC Royal motorhome. However because of my recent neck spinal surgery and my future lower spinal overhaul later this year, I must sell this coach AS-IS. I realize this might cast a different light on the sale - but regardless of that - I have no choice. If you have other questions or comments about this "as-is" addition, or anything else, please feel free to call or write at your connivence.
It is time to end these enjoyable years and make this Classic available for younger hands.

That unit has been on my radar. With a few exceptions it looks to be road ready. Only major issue for me is that it's 1200 miles south of me.

Well while it is a nice coach, it still needs new tires and the fridge is broken. It is sold as is the question is will it make it to the Houston area before it breaks down? I will have enough cash to buy it in about 2 – 3 months and enough cash to fix it if it breaks down but not now. I really like it form what I see and the buyer seems like a nice person and if my cash happens before it is sold, I will get it.

Not really too much to breakdown is there?Remember the land speed coach went from Key Largo to the Pacific NW.They flew in sight unseen and drove it back.I think they needed a wheel bearing in Ok.I knew the PO in Largo and that coach sat in his lot for YEARS.He used it as a storage closet.
