Some Dick head decided he wanted to take a closer look at my coach. He stepped up on the front bumper, and either stepped on the grill or kicked it.

Might have been a kid.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE WHO CANNOT LEAVE THINGS THAT ARE NOT THEIRS ALONE!!!!!

I had someone rip my personalized license plate off my coach.  We walked into a rest stop and it was there when we left and when we came out it was not there.

People are just jerks.

Chris, I feel your pain. We have a group of folks who are now expecting a check and value nothing that belongs to others. I can tell stuff that yall would not believe. Something has to happen. It would be nice if the storage lot has a camera, if that is where it happened. I keep our's in our driveway and I have a closet full of guns. Not that I would ever shoot someone, over property, but I might convince them to hang around here til the cops show up. What happened to your grille just is not right.

Vandalism is always frustrating to deal with. It must give some people some sort of perverse satisfaction in destroying or defacing something that belongs to someone else, but I could never understand it.

Then again, it bothers me to see people littering as well. Why live in a dirty world?

Chris,

Probably was a kid, too short to see in the coach from the bumper?

The way things work in the USA it's a good thing he didn't fall and hurt himself and you wind up getting sued for not putting a "No
Step" sign on the grill!

Once your anger subsides look at the bright side, you now "NEED" a custom grill! ;-)

Man, that sucks.

Had this Imperial friend in Denver a few years back. He parked his 73 Imperial beside his house and some neighborhood punks thought it would be fun to shatter the driver side window. He called the police. After they left, he gets a visit from his neighbor, the Don of the local 'FAMILY' who was not happy with vandalism and police presence in his neighborhood. The next day, three local kids, knocked on my friends door, handed him a wad of cash, and literally BEGGED for his forgiveness. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Don't you just know those kids had the scare of their lives from the goodfellas.

They even started mowing my friends yard and wouldn't take any money for it. Laughing

Kerry,

When NYC had the blackout neighborhoods that had "Goodfellas" living there didn't have ANY problems with vandalism or looting. Might
have been because of the black Cadillac's patrolling the streets and parked on the corners. ;-)

Rob

This is why I will not go to cars shows and leave my 50 pickup.
Came back and a man was sitting in our truck after standing on the running board.
Why are you mad it's only an old pickup!

Our son in law has a business on the boardwalk here in San Diego.
Do not mess with him or his stuff.
Grabs up the bad guys and handcuffs them to the light poll on the boardwalks then calls the cops.
The cops know what's up and take there time getting there.
Not many bad guys came back.

One good think is most people have no idea what the GMC is so it goes unnoticed. Once in a while you get someone who does know and gives you a thumbs up.

Chris,

Dan is right. There is a whole class of people who just don't care. Howard is right too. There is another bunch that just don't think.

My dad was in the service station business back in the early 50s (before I was born). He owned an ESSO station along US-22 in Central Pennsylvania. At the time, it was a major route to New York City, and he got a lot of truck traffic.

He told me a story about some guy climbing up on the hood of a semi truck to look inside. The driver saw this and about had a fit. He asked the guy if he would stand on the hood of a new Cadillac. The guy said, "of course not". The truck driver replied, "well that truck cost four times what a new Cadillac cost"!

Some people just don't know any better.

We had a customer that was named Richard Head. Went to meet with him to close a deal with some of my team. I was introduced to him and as I was shaking his hand I asked, with total sincere innocence, "Do you go by Richard or Dick?"

I promise you I did. Can you say clueless? Embarassed

We go to a lot of cruisins. One was at an icecream shop. While inside eating I overheard a father tell his son " you are dripping icecream all over, lets go outside and look at the cars".
We usually park as far from the food as we can. THat way the lookers have finished their food before they get to our car.

Jim, I often take grandsons to car shows. Even the 6 yr old knows to not touch the vehichles. Then, he asks me why the old guy is running his hand over the fender of a 53 chevy pick up truck? What do I say?
The coach of the SEMO State University basketball team here is named Dickie Nutt. I can't help but laugh every time he is on the news. No one ever forgets his name.
