There are only 3 guards here (they call them nurses) and 3 other inmates (patients) as far as I can tell. The doors are all locked and alarmed and there are TV cameras in the ceilings. They also have this thing stuck in my arm and hooked to a machine like thing on wheels to slow me down if I should try to escape.

I had a plan on how to escape while everyone was watching the Super Bowl. I figured out how to disconnect the thing hooked to my arm without unplugging it from the wall. I also found an unlocked exit through the visitor area.

Then I realized that once I got out I had no coat or transportation. I-65 is only a block away but Laurie took my car. Outside we had 3" or so of new snow this morning. The forecast is for another 5" tonight. So I do not want to walk very far once I get out. When I checked in here Saturday afternoon I did not even bring a coat. I did not know they intended to keep me.

Then I thought of Dan G. He is use to dealing with locked up people so he would have some good ideas for me. The guards around here do not realize I have Skype on my PC, so I secretly called Dan. I called 3 times and 3 times he answered and immediately hung up. Dan wasn't much help.

The jailer (doctor) that put me in here yesterday said I could go home today. Then today he talked to second jailer. The second jailer sent in a third jailer by late this afternoon. The third jailer said he could not find anything wrong so he is keeping me locked up for 1 or 2 more days.

I wonder if I could slip out on a food delivery truck or something like that. I forgot this place doesn't know what food is. All I've had is beef broth and jello. Scratch that idea.

May I could disguise myself as a guard. They have some pretty nice looking ones here.

I'm looking for ideas on how to escape Pinnacle Hospital in Merrillville, In.

I'm bored here with nothing but TV (that I can not hear) and the Internet to keep me occupied.

Hospitals are hospitals. They are all the same.

Actually I worked as a consultant for several Hospital chains for many years in the past.

The big difference is now I'm an "inmate" here, and I am trapped until they let me go. Actually what is happening to me is they did not find anything wrong. If they turn me loose and I return in a couple of days they are in trouble with Medicare. So I think they are doing a CYA thing and I'm caught here with nothing to do but play on the Internet.

I did not see the Jack Nickolson movie but I can imagine what it was.

Oh man Ken! That's not going to be easy. Hopefully it's not as bad as the movie I watched last night, I Am A Fugitive From A Chain Gang.

Seriously though, behave yourself ;-) and very best wishes to you.

Thanks Tim and Jim.

I'm ready to leave. I feel better and they have found nothing wrong. I'm going to be pushing very hard by tomorrow evening if they do not let me go.

Thanks for the picture Tim. The guy in the middle kind of looks like one my jailers. The guards here are all female. A new one woke me up at 6AM. Maybe we had a shift change.

I have never seen that movie. I'll have to go watch it.

I do not know what I'm in for. Whatever it is I'm innocent. I do not even know the length of sentence. I hope it is not life.

I just about made up my mind that I'm going to bust out of this place this afternoon around 4 or 5 PM. The get away car is my biggest problem right now. I think there might be one here in the late afternoon.

Ken,

Wish I were closer, I'd try to organize a jail break for you -- including a
getaway GMC. You really need to get out of that virus-haven and
bacteria-nursery, ASAP!

Hope you don't need to go back. Keep us posted.

Last night while I was casing this place getting ideas for my latest escape attempt, night I noticed one of my guards was not feeling well and coughing. I made a point to stay away from her for the rest of her shift.

Maybe you can get enough bed sheets and tie them together and slide out the
window, or get some surgical tubing and and bungee jump out of the window.

Ken,

I am rounding up a bunch of Hoosier GMC owner/neer-do-wells
to help you in your escape plan.

When you see a GMC out in the parking lot, make a break for it.

We'll be distracting the guards and front desk administrators
with a serious GMC electrical system tech session.

Should you or any of us get caught or seriously injured, Matt
Colie will disavow all knowledge of our actions.

Good luck in your mission......
