At this time each year, there's a BIG automotive (read Hot Rod) flea market
at the old Spence AFB in Moultrie, GA. Today, John Beaver (my engine
builder buddy) and I attended. As we entered we saw a Royale setting up in
the RV parking area, so swung in to meet the owner. Thanks to CRS, I
remember only Harold "The Old Radio Guy", member of Heritage Cruisers. We
spent few minutes naming mutual friends before he continued to set up and
we proceeded to wear our legs down.

I bought 5'x10'x3/4" insulating foam for $20. John bought a pair of '90
Vortec heads for small block Chevy (for resale) and a 4-speed transmission
for the '68 Camaro he's restoring. And we looked, & looked, & looked...

Great show; if you're anywhere nearby you should visit -- it lasts through
Sunday and is repeated in November.

Ken H.

The November show is larger and warmer. I had spaces at the November show for a few years and did OK but the attendees were not my target customers. Sold enough to pay my expenses but after a few years we took it off the schedule. Lots of stuff though and I've been back just to walk the show.

Did the 'SPRING Shocked Shocked Shocked ' show once and froze to death. Never again but I agree it is a worthwhile event and there really isn't anything this large in the deep south other than Charlotte and The Turkey Rod Run in Daytona.

Yeah, we like to have froze! I wore a light jacket expecting the sun to
warm it up, but that didn't happen. Wound up donning on of John's hunting
jackets & stocking cap.

John found some .late model Vortec heads to resell on a high performance
engine at a good profit & bought a 4-speed transmission & shifter for the
'68 Camaro he's restoring. I spent all of $20 -- for a 5'x10'x3/4" sheet
of supposedly fire retardant foam rubber to insulate the cockpit floor &
???. Too cheep to pass up.
