I have the GMC original dark wood cabinets ('76 Glenbrook). I was wondering if anyone had a good stain match for this cabinet color scheme? In the pricess of putting laminate flooring in the coach and I need to stain some trim pieces close to the color of the cabinets. I actually remembered to check Gene's upgrade FAQ site, but for one of the only times since I bought the coach I couldn't find the guidance I needed!
Thanks,

I have been playing with a couple stains as I add drawers under my dinette. I noticed that the type and grain of wood would affect it as much as my stain combination. I did see that heart pine did manage to do decent for me as far as the samples I did. presently I am waiting on warmer weather to finish flooring then continue with drawer faces and trim. .
As far as stain mixing, 2 parts walnut to one part black cherry recreated what I think is closest color match.
But of course since I am waiting on weather change, I would not be broken hearted if others played with and shared there experience.
