Mid Dec they took the tumor out, which they found was completely dead from 4 rounds of chemo. No more chemo needed. She will be an "out" patient at St. Jude's til her 18th birthday. The family will get to move back to the Nashville area mid Feb. My son is back to work now.
Thanks for all of your cards, emails, and prayers. We are heading to Memphis early in the morning to visit with them. They are still in an apartment just outside the gates of the hospital in a gated setup. The doctors continue to check our girl almost daily and will for 4 more weeks. That is one fine hospital for children. We are fortunate to have gotten her in there. They helped our family with 4 kids in many special ways. What a blessing to have such a place with such caring employees.

Great news, Dan!

Our youngest daughter spent the better part of two years in-out-in LeBonheur Childrens' Hospital which is just up the street. Combined with UT and the other super-hospitals, Memphis has quite a med complex.

>gated

Been there, done that too. It's waaaaay better than sleeping in a dimestore lawn chair in the hospital room for over a week.

Go to the Rendevous and have some ribs to celebrate.

Dan,

Teri's Dad made a great recovery, now your granddaughter does the same, SOMEBODY up there watches over you and your family.

I'm sure it's 'cause you're good folks!

The local hospital we use has an area for RV's with electric and water hook-ups. (6 sites) It is free to families of hospitalized people. Very handy to have the GMC parked at the hospital with power for the microwave and a place for our little dogs.

Still slept some in "the chair" but they have some that recline some.

Dan,
Yes, it is good news!

Spoke with Dr Kathy Knapp at a show in Starkville, she says St Judes is going great guns and thanks everyone for their support.  We'll be doing the annual 'Radiothon' for them on all our stations in a couple months.
Yall support St Judes', it's a good cause.
